Today is Remembrance Sunday. Perhaps more than any other year in my life, I consider this to be a very important day. We live in times when our way of life is under serious threat from within. The security and freedom we have enjoyed for so long, and that so many fought and died to defend, is at serious risk of being lost altogether. It is a day of mixed emotions; sorrowful, but angry. The media would rather talk about the US election than remembering our predecessors. I take this opportunity to thank the service men and women who have served and are still serving our country, helping to deliver peace, security and freedom to us. We must never forget them and what they helped to achieve. The best tribute to their sacrifice would be to redouble our efforts to fight for the values they themselves fought for.
