The more the state grabs at an imagined prospect of power over every individual citizen with no regard for civil liberties or personal freedoms, the further away we are away from regaining what is normal. The measures that have been taken are not designed to control the virus, they are designed to control you; the way you think and the way you act.
We are being led by a mad king into a state of oblivion.
Christopher J. Wilkinson
The state needs to let this virus take its course, but in a remarkably conspiratorial display of global uniformity, Britain like so many other countries has chosen the wrong path. We are being led by a mad king into a state of oblivion. Every intervention, whether it be a local lockdown or door-to-door testing, is pushing us further away from resolving this issue. Herd immunity is science. ‘Whack-a-mole’ lockdowns, as the Prime Minister himself has put it, is not science. In Wales, people are no longer allowed to purchase state-defined ‘non-essential’ items even though they’re just one aisle away from essential goods in the same supermarkets.
Life will never be normal so long as you’re doing nothing about the one thing that is making it wrong in the first place…
Christopher J. Wilkinson
When are you going to say ‘no’ to the government? When are you going to get back to work? When do you expect your business will miraculously burst back to life? When do you intend to repay those debts? When are you thinking of seeing your family next; do you even miss seeing them, or hearing their voices? When do you think your depression and anxiety will come to an end? When will you be able to see your GP again? When will you stop going hungry? When do you expect to lift yourself out of poverty? When are you going to stop social distancing? When will you remove your mask? Life will never be normal so long as you’re doing nothing about the one thing that is making it wrong in the first place; after all, that’s what the state wants. You must act. It’s not a case of if, it’s when.
