I’m sure Christians the world over are similarly ashamed at the fact the religion has at its forefront an increasingly and overtly political Pope. Not only that, but according to the Daily Mail he’s blaming the media for spurring on nationalism in a manner that could only be described as Trumpian. He’s claiming that politicians are the ones responsible for downplaying the severity of the virus, when in reality it is an informed and educated public that has done pretty much all of the heavy lifting in that respect. Even the title of his book, Let Us Dream, strikes a collectivist tone.

Christopher J. Wilkinson
If Pope Francis had said this on a social media account, he’d likely receive a ban after being scrutinised by fact checkers for what he’s said. There are only so many layers one can clothe themselves with before people spot a fraud. Either that or a wannabe identity politician. The Pope’s role should extend no further than his religion. Christians have a right to disown this man and his rhetoric; the duplicity and infestation of the modern political left really knows no bounds…
